Brett Howard Sproul

Having been raised in the Midwest United States, it is the industrial wastelands with which I am most familiar and comfortable. They are my preferred subject matter; ones I consciously seek wherever I travel. I have grown to appreciate the silence, desolation and decay of these places, as well as the futile, materialistic dreams that created and destroyed them, because I am an inherent part of that whether I want to be or not.

It is the suffering, neglected and battered soul of these areas that manifests itself in every picture I have created and ever will.
